"ACCEPT" Signs Japanese Deal With UNIVERSAL - July 29, 2010

Reformed heavy metal legends ACCEPT have inked a Japanese deal with Universal. The band's new album, "Blood Of The Nations", will be released in Japan on September 4. According to a press release, the interest in the new CD by the Japanese media is "at an all-time high," and the first press representatives are on their way to ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann's home in Nashville, Tennessee to conduct face-to-face-interviews.

Commented Hoffmann: "Japan was our last missing component in the international marketplace, which we have completed now with Universal! They are the perfect partners for us over there.

"Japan has always been a terrific market for us. We had tremendous success there in the past, so we are very happy to come back to Japan after all these years.

"Rock music is still a big thing in Japan and every good rock band in the world has Japan on their wish list. We can see from our website that we have a lot of fans there.

"We are excited and looking forward to bring them our new album and our great live shows."

As previously reported, ACCEPT has been confirmed for the Loud Park 10 festival, set to take place October 16-17, 2010 at Saitama Super Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Saitama City, Japan.

"Blood Of The Nations" will be released on the following dates:

August 20: Europe (via Nuclear Blast)
September 4: Japan (via Universal)
September 14: North America (via Nuclear Blast)

"Blood Of The Nations" was recorded at Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, England with acclaimed British producer and SABBAT guitarist Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, MASTERPLAN). The CD — which marks the recording debut of the band's latest addition, vocalist Mark Tornillo (ex-TT QUICK) — contains the following 12 tracks:

01. Beat The Bastards
02. Teutonic Terror
03. The Abyss
04. Blood Of The Nations
05. Shades Of Death
06. Locked And Loaded
07. Kill The Pain
08. Rollin Thunder
09. Pandemic
10. New World Comin'
11. No Shelter
12. Bucketful Of Hate

ACCEPT 2010 is:

Wolf Hoffmann: Guitar
Peter Baltes: Bass
Herman Frank: Guitar
Mark Tornillo: Vocals
Stefan Schwarzmann: Drums

Regarding Tornillo's addition to ACCEPT, Hoffmann previously said, "It all happened in minutes. Peter and I were working on some tunes in a studio in New Jersey. Somebody suggested we give this guy Mark a call to see if he would join us on vocals. So when he arrived we started jamming on some old ACCEPT tunes — just for fun. As soon as Mark started singing we looked at each other and realized the impossible just happened: we found a new voice for ACCEPT! The timing could not have been better.
---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------

as a die hard ACCEPT fan,
do they forget....(hoffman/baltes)
that the last time they had an american singer
or better yet tried to replace the metal heart of ACCEPT
they released their worst selling album.
um what was his name david reece?.........
i dont know of t.t. quick or this singer
i would say to hoffman: get your ass back to DEUTSCHLAND
and get another metal heart singer and quit going on a first time chance meeting with some singer from america.

germany has so many young tru metal rokk'rz that can scream till the dawn to try out instead of going with some american just cause he seems cool and has a what, 3 octive range...wow?......

i dont want ACCEPT to fail............
i'll buy the cd then i'll call it as i hear it..
(herman frank is a killer guitarist)

strange i said this same fact to 'john ricci' on his website when he announced the current singer for his band
i was told i was wrong by their bassist.
their last album bombed and was a total dud.
'thrash speed burn'..good title, to bad it ended there....
'in mortal fear' was the video single and it was only half baked at best.

thanks for the links 'jorge'

teutonic terror is a 5 outta 10
average song/solo/lyrics/singer
i dont see this as an accept continuation.
but a new accept 'americanized'
it has classic elements incorperated into it

hoffman doing his solo atop an american tank?

the singer does fit in,
but if this is the best song on the cd ?
(i hope it's the worst and slowest)
it'll go bye bye as fast as you can say t.t. quick !!!

and that sukkz,
cause this is a fukkin tight, power force of musical talent.

Saw the band's first show with Mark Tornillo in NYC last May and was quite impressed.

UDO is doing U.D.O. and that's ok. Glad Accept found a worthy replacement and is making new music. Cool

i just got the digi pak today myself.

this is 100% solid kikk azz trudom metal
grandfathered from it'd roots----udo
i didnt see his name anywhere on this cd...?
but i did read 'joseph demaio'...hahahah

the producer gets the credit.
him being the fan he is
and now having the ability to produce
"the legends of deutschland metal"

my big problem is the name
it's all about the market ability to make money right off the bat
instead of saying:
hey were fukkin the kill force
and accept was udo.........and were not
'udo signed off on it though'

and he who would say rokkz that makes no sense
then i say, if king diamond left the band king diamond
and was replaced, would you call it king diamond?

to me kiss was kiss when i seen em/76,
since then they have been
just a money bags logo
in disguise as the infamous kizz logo,
as is a host of others
making money off a logo that has mass appeal
instead of starting up on their own merit.
thats what balls to the walls are about !!!

and the bonus track don't even have a lyric spread..oh wait?
'printed in the usa'

no wonder !!
---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------
a general review of blood of the nations

beat the bastards---kinda has the same riff feel as 'guns r us'
cool pre chorus riff and wording, solo is wolf melodicly soloing, then burning it on 10
bakk to melodic but full of power lead.

teutonic terror---sounds like a leftover riff from the death row cd
solo is a ripper, wah wah, speed and melody !!!
this song has a whole lotta accept parts in it.

the abyss---killer riff, herman frank pick out on the chords and
wolf kills it in riff form, solo notes are clawed out and strong, has a very slow break,
it dont fit on this cd. terrible choice to keep it in !!! (best chorus on the cd)
(my second favorite on this cd)

blood of the nations---starts out with a maiden style bass line and lead likk
chorus is classic accept, solo is slower and articulant, lottsa played out notes

shades of death---another herman frank pick out. clearly keyboard notes in the background
cool riff into the song. chorus is same ole same. but lottsa cool hoffman likks interjected in between
solo rips into melodic iced earth kinda style, then crunches into wolf classic kikk azz lead
singer does the same as tom araya on mandatory suicde...speaks quiet over riff's
then goes back into chorus

locked and loaded---fast pace, hoffman slams lead right into the riffs
chorus same ole short solo riding lead over the riffs into the chorus.
solo wolf into dueling leads into killer wolf solo lead through the end..slammin the notes

time machine*bonus---another herman frank pikk out with a strong steady bass line..riff monster starts
damn chorus is same ole....rides bakk into herman/baltes....then in comes wolf to the chorus
solo reserved. turns melodic, classic bakkground chant, lead interdicts till the end.

kill the pain---slow acoustic & keys introduce hoffmans slow played lead notes full of feeling
herman frank kills the rhythm. solo is layed out in faster likks with a chorus on his lead, stays melodic and right on with the song.

rolling thunder---herman frank original, smokes metal to the maxxx.
this is fukkin a killer song !!! frank does the lead stroking here !!! duel at the end of the solo
riff slams. all herman frank main leads i beleive, ( third fav. on this cd)

pandemic---strong riff, chorus same ole deep chant, solo reserved to normal lead strokes,
after solo kikk azz lead line, really good.

new world coming---cool intro effect, riff is average,
chorus is plain and dull, hoffman injects as needed,
solo tears it up herman kikkz in and helps out the end of the solo...
(this song is why i give it a 8 )

no shelter---slowly begins then hoffman kills it, riff is fast
but slows while the bass slams the lines. chorus is same ole...
fukkin killer bass lines, man i like this song, best one yet !!!!
this is my pikk hit of this cd...hoffman kills the guitar on this track 100%
worth the price for this song alone!!!!

bucketful of hate---riff kills, fast pace rokkr...my kinda rokk !!!
to bad their all not this fast !!! hoffman kills the lead durring the lyric breaks
chrous is same ole, breakdown classic accept style !!!!
classic last min. ending in the vein of princess/balls.

overall rating ....8
