IMO I think the verdict was the right one. If she had drowned one or two of her kids, I could see the jury possibly giving a verdict of her being insane. But drowning all five kids, and chasing the last one around the house while he's screaming and fearing for his life? I think she knew exactly what she was doing, and I feel absolutely no sympathy for her whatsoever.
What do you think? |

Totally non-metal...
...but, I'd say it's pretty clear that she's not just insane, but ****ING CRAZY, and if she ever stops being ****ing crazy, and becomes sane, she'd have to still be ****ing crazy not to be so overcome with remorse that she'd kill herself on the spot.
So, the answer is...both! |

Doesn't matter. If she isn't insane she deserves to die because she's a danger. If she is insane she needs to die because she is a threat to the public. I don't believe a person who's insanity has gone to the point of repeated murders is ever capable of "getting better."
When I was young we shot mad dogs, and the animals on the farm that killed their young were put down as soon as the gun got loaded. |

Oh my god, so you are saying that someone deserves to die for a reason that is not under thier control. People do not choose to be insane, so how can someone, with a clear conscience sentence someone to die becuase of something not in thier power to control. And I am not just talking about Yates, I am not sure what the verdict is or the extent of what the doctor's diagnosed her with, but to me when someone says a person deserves to die because of something they could not control is insane. |

Well I am glad someone brought this up..what we have here is a woman that KILLED her own children I dont care what the reason she may have nor do I care if she was mentally iconpacitated at the time of those poor childrens untimly demise. This may sound insulting but here it goes women for many years have wanted to be treated the same as men equal pay, vote ect..then women want careers like men I guess it isnt enough just to stay home and take care of the kids...then come feminism which tells women that womens job isnt that but what ever she wants. well look at nature the males are the providers and females are the care givers of their offspring...now if women would get off this high horse and take care of kids this country would be better off,WAIT I am getting to the point as time goes by women have forgotten how to raise children so now you have these shrinks go on tv and make up excuses why some women kill thier own kids well I say this is B.S. if women want equal treatment as men then if they kill they should get the same as a man period no post pardom b.s. ect....THIS WOMAN SHOULD BE EXECUTED. not left alive to be studied by some shrink later on just for the next woman that kills have a case study to get her off...
DISCALIMER I am for equal rights.but enough is enough and to the men who shirk their resposibilty of helping women shame on you.in this case Russell Yates should go to prison as an acompice he had to know... |
