Is there anyone out there who knows of any good videos or cassettes that give rock or metal vocal tutorials? I'm becoming really interested developing my singing voice. I've done musical theatre in the past, but haven't really tried my hand at metal singing much. I remember listening to a local talk radio station late one night while at work, and the guest was a woman who was a vocal coach for pop, rock, and metal singers. I don't remember the woman's name, but she was in her 60's or 70's(no kidding),had a lovely British accent, and mentioned that Ronnie James Dio was one of her students among others. She had a course available on cassette, but I can't remember what it was called. Does anyone out there know what I'm talking about?
I posted this before in the "Musicians" section and didn't get any replies,so I thought I'd try it here. Thanks! |

You may want to check out this woman as I know she has at home material and is considered a top vocal specialist. As far as true "metal" vocal styles I'm not sure. But as far as rock, I know that she teaches such. Jeannie's big thing is stamina, range and proper vocal exercises.
Check out her site. Go to the "products/ services link":
